Chloe’s 20 Question Birthday Interview: Age 8

My little Coconut is 8 years old today! Here is her annual 20 question birthday interview, taken this morning before school.

A lot has changed since the last time I wrote a blog post here, which is why our home looks very different, and life also looks very different. I will share about all of that another time, though.

I just can’t believe my Coco is 8 now!  She’s at school right now, and I sent her there with 2 dozen mini cupcakes for her class to celebrate her special day with her.  We’ll be having cheese pizza for dinner, since that was her special birthday request.

She had a small birthday gathering/sleepover at our new apartment a couple weekends ago, so that her two neighbor friends who are moving far away could attend.  It was Minecraft themed, because that’s what she’s into these days. We ordered pizza and I baked chocolate cupcakes with chocolate buttercream frosting. Here are a couple of pics from that day:

Thanks for reading/watching! Til next time!

A birthday tradition I adopted from Pinterest + Jeffrey turns 8 1/2

Every year since they were three, I have interviewed Jeffrey and Chloe with the same twenty questions on their birthdays. It has been so much fun to see how their answers have changed over the years (or in some cases have stayed exactly the same!) This year I dropped the ball on Jeffrey bean’s eighth birthday interview. It was busy! There was a Disney trip, spring break, life, <insert other excuses here>. #momfail BUT, we went ahead and did his interview today, since today marks his half birthday. This is what he had to say. 🙂

This has been such a great tradition for us. (Those sleepless nights nursing my babies with my tablet in hand paid off. Thanks a ton, interwebs, and especially Pinterest!)

If you would like to adopt this tradition for your littles, you can use this list of questions, or get creative and use your own. The key is to ask the same questions each year. 🙂

This is what I ask them:

  1. What is your favorite color?
  2. What is your favorite toy?
  3. What is your favorite fruit?
  4. What is your favorite tv show?
  5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?
  6. What is your favorite outfit?
  7. What is your favorite game?
  8. What is your favorite snack?
  9. What is your favorite animal?
  10. What is your favorite song?
  11. What is your favorite book?
  12. Who is your best friend?
  13. What is your favorite cereal?
  14. What is your favorite thing to do outside?
  15. What is your favorite drink?
  16. What is your favorite holiday?
  17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night?
  18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
  19. What do you want for dinner on your birthday?
  20. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Feel free to “pin” or print this. I hope your family enjoys this tradition as much as we have. I’m definitely going to keep it alive as long as I can. Thanks for reading!  🙂 Until next time…
